Hot off the presses and straight from GAMA Expo, we're proud to announce that we've partnered with indie studio Succubus Publishing to publish Middara - bringing the surprise smash hit JRPG board game to a larger worldwide audience!
Middara successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2015 and again in 2019, and since then, Succubus Publishing has been hard at work running their webstore and fulfilling pledges from the latest campaign.
Act 1 of this extensive tabletop game, Middara: Unintentional Malum, includes over 40 miniatures, an 80-hour campaign, an integrated story-driven campaign that includes a free audiobook app, and unique gameplay elements in an original, sprawling narrative dungeon-crawler board game/rpg hybrid.
A “Story-Driven Tactics Board Game” is at the heart of Middara - with an innovative role-playing lite, turn-based tactical miniatures experience that has no true equivalent in the tabletop industry. The brainchild of Alex Hansen and Brooklynn Lundberg, owners of Succubus Publishing, Middara initially launched on Kickstarter in 2015. After a second, supplemental crowdfunding campaign in 2019, Middara is entering a third production run alongside an extensive lineup of products including Acts 1, 2, and 3 of the main story campaign. This new production run will be the first time the game has been opened to retailers and distributors - and that's where WE come in, picking up production and bringing the game to our customers worldwide in partnership with Succubus Publishing!
The first act of the game is just the jumping-off point. Acts 2 and 3 will enter production in 2022 under this new partnership, alongside multiple scenario and character expansions, upgrade packs, PVP scenarios, and more to follow!
